Having already learnt violin and piano, I wanted to try something different and was drawn to the harp because of its rarity and unique sound. I had introductory lessons with Amiya, exploring the instrument and learning beginner music like “Lavender Blue, Barn Dance Memory and Sound The Trumpets.” She then recommended a professional harp teacher, with whom I continued my learning. Four years later, with three instruments under my belt, I was awarded a music scholarship.
